Pierson (Carolyn) and Melvin Wade Pierson (Irene); his nieces, Sharon Wilson (Bruce), Charlotte Morgan and Stormy Mercado (John); his great-nephews, Colby Mercado, Clayton Mercado and Cameron Mercado; and his cousin Kay Cheney Shaw (Floyd).
