He was predeceased by: his daughter Janise Welch; and his sister Etheleen Welch. He is survived by: his wife Sallie Welch; his children, Janet Talton (Tyrone), Dianne Welch, Lolita Welch, Andrea "Tiny" Hopkins (Mark) and James "Adair" Welch; his grandchildren, Carletta Weldon, Ashley, Alex Talton, Alea, Brianna Welch and Jada Hopkins; his great grandchildren, Kai Ikhine and Ava Talton; and his sister Barbara Reddick. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

"Mack" was a pillar of his community and a strong foundation for his family.
