He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Franklin and Dorothy Ruth Carter Ricks; his sister Pat Darnell; and his niece Pam Skelton. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Nail Ricks; his son Mark Ricks (Katlyne Simmons); and his grandchildren, Kaitlin, Kendall, Kelby, Hunter, Amelia, Nash and Cooper.
