He was predeceased by: his close friend Justin Walker; his parents, Alexander Walker and Thelma Walker; and his siblings, Alexander (Bud) and Laverne.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Walker; his children, John (Rhonda Walker II), Heidi (Doug Miller), Scott (Julie Walker) and Susan Nelson; his grandchildren, Rachel, John III Walker (Ashley), Doug Jr., David, Scott II, Susan, Meghan, Lauren, Heidi and Michael; and his great grandchildren, Gwendolen, Archer, John IV, Case and Ezekiel.
Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it" was the foundation of the family.
