He was predeceased by: his parents, George Carter and Lilma Skelton Coombs; his daughter Kandy Elizabeth Coombs Sims; and his brother George Carter Coombs, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Grace Flowers Coombs; his son Gregory Allen Coombs (Dee) of Hampton; his siblings, Patricia Coombs Hester, Pamula Coombs Chapman (Mike) and Jerred Otis Coombs; his grandchildren, Kristen Elizabeth Stacey (Nick), Gregory Michael Sims (Lindsay) and Kyle McPeters Coombs; and his great grandchildren, Hunter Michael Stacey, Graham Benjamin Stacey, Korie Elizabeth Stacey and Savannah Grace Sims. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and several close cousins.
