She was predeceased by: her parents, Mack George and Nellie George; and her siblings, Weida Mercker, Warren, Clifford and Maurice George.

She is survived by: her children, Toni Newsome of McDonough and Tommy; her daughter-in-law Ladon Newsome of Ellijay; and her sister Lunelle Broadaway of Adele. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
