It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Margaret Owens Sparks (McDonough, Georgia), born in Elizabethtown, Indiana, who passed away on January 3, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sophia Barrett Owens and Reuben Woods Owens; her daughter Sharon Y. Sparks; her husband Edwin Sparks; and her siblings, Arthur Owens, Dr. Fred Owens, Joe Owens, Howard Owens, Reuben Owens, Curtis Owens, Robert Owens, Betty Carter, Frankie Smith, Dessie Lobb and Jeannette Owens.
She is survived by: her daughter Norma Jean; her grandsons, David E. and Gregory Scott; her children, Norma Jeannie Tague of Madison, Indiana, David E. Sparks (Jean) of Oklahoma City and Gregory Scott Sparks (Lisa) of McDonough, Georgia; her brother Bill Owens of Danville, Indiana; and her sibling's children, Steve and Beverly Goodman of Elizabethtown, Kentucky. She is also survived by several other nieces, nephews and other relatives.
