She was predeceased by: her parents, George Ashley Weldon and Clara L. Etheridge Weldon; her husband Ralph James Simpson; and her siblings, Kathleen Weldon Pinckney (Robert), Thomas Maurice Weldon (Betty) and Julian Ashley Weldon (Florine).
She is survived by: her children, Gordon Simpson of Locust Grove, Amanda Norsworthy (Kenny) of Jackson and Claralyn Simpson of McDonough; her grandchildren, Ashley Hinkle (Bryan) of Dawsonville, Ramsey Jones of Locust Grove and Branan Norsworthy (Briana) of Locust Grove; and her great grandchildren, Bryce Hinkle, Brady Hinkle, Blakeley Hinkle of Dawsonville, Ava Norsworthy, Ella Norsworthy, Riley Norsworthy and Piper Norsworthy of Locust Grove.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are asked to be made to Henry County Cancer Services in memory of Dr. Simpson.
