She is survived by: her daughter Melanie; her son-in-law Tom Mertz; her grandsons, Jack Mertz and Nicholas Mertz; her sister-in-law Betty Patrick; her niece Leigh Anne Knight (Scott); her great-niece Meghann Gaines (Tate); and also Maggie Gaines.
