He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Grimes and Mary Mildred Grimes; his siblings, Robert H. Grimes (June Grimes) and Leila Jackson; and his niece Robin Jackson.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Grimes; his children, Greg Grimes and Julianne Varner (Duane); his grandchildren, Greg Varner (Kelly), Allan Varner, Alaina Clemons (Kieron), Melissa Lowe (Andre), Eric Varner and Abigail Varner; his children, Frank Grimes and Mary Ann Beyers (Chris); his grandchildren, Austin, Virginia and William; and his brothers, Jim Grimes (Betty Wayne) and John Grimes (Sandy).
