He was predeceased by: his parents, William Earl Phillips and Anne Aleda Phillips; and his brothers, William Earl Phillips Jr., Carl Thomas Phillips and Steven Lewis Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Cathy; and his siblings, Jerry Phillips (Marcia) of Douglasville, GA and Joan Couch (Bob) of Stockbridge, GA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
