It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rosario Ballares Thacker Mikel of McDonough, Georgia, who passed away on April 11, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husbands, Truman Joseph Thacker and Herbert Mikel; and her brother Juan Ballares. She is survived by : her daughter Elizabeth M. Thacker (L. Z. Richardson); her granddaughter Kynadee Thacker-Richardson; and her siblings, Boi Ballares, Arthur Ballares, Mike Ballares, Adi Ballares, Connie Ballares and Baby Ballares. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Conner-Westbury Funeral Home (1891 W McIntosh Rd, Griffin, GA 30223). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the TBD Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home (1891 W McIntosh Rd, Griffin, GA 30223).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Lighthouse Hospice.
