She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Thurston and Neeley Kate Norton Welsh; and her siblings, Roland Welsh, Marion Welsh, Luther Welsh, Dave Welsh, Mazzie Webb and Essie Mae Lockridge.
She is survived by: her husband Bill Sawyer; her children, Rick Gossett (Mary) of Jasper, Keith Gossett (Claudia) of Marietta and Annette Kidd (Greg) of Stockbridge; her grandchildren, Greg Gossett (Aubrie), Matt Gossett (Emily), Bradley Gossett, Erik Gossett, Neeley Gossett (John), Boyd Gossett (Katelyn), Sara Rose Carson, Brett Kidd, Alex Kidd and Taylor Kidd; her great grandchildren, Callie Gossett, James Gossett, Wesley Gossett, Kayla Gossett-Roper and Ellie Jane Foley; and her sisters, Imogene Knight of Alabama and Peggy McCord of Alabama. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
