He was predeceased by: his daughter Jan Nelms Small. He is survived by: his wife Jeraldine (Jeri); and his children, Rex Nelms (Ramona), Tim Nelms (Dawn) and Joi Christian (Steve) of McDonough, GA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
