He is survived by: his wife Peggy Sowers; his children, Scott Craven Bridge of Albany, GA, William Howard Mathis Jr. (Alicia) of Ocala, FL and Jennifer Mathis Rigsby (Ryan) of Jackson, GA.; his grandchildren, Christy Bridge Hall (Marc), Jeremy Bridge (Jennifer), Amanda Bridge Mitchell, Lauren Mathis Rakel, Warren Tyler Mathis, Wyatt Taylor Mathis, William Chance Mathis, Leland Jake Mathis, Hannah Rigsby Jeffcoat (Robert) and Walker Allen Rigsby; and his great grandchildren, Abigail Hall, Olivia Hall, Emma Hall, Noah Bridge, Adysan Ricketson, Aiden Mitchell, Marshall Mitchell, Henry Rakel and Judah James Jeffcoat.
