She was predeceased by : her mother Ida Jones Love; her husband Tillman Howard; her siblings, Grady Love and Barbara Ratliff; and the father of her children Charles E. "Gene" Copeland.
She is survived by : her daughters, Rose (Marvin Brown) and Sylvia (Tim Hurtt); and her sisters, Shirley Galloway and Nell Nichols. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
