He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Bowman Newman and Carlton Andrew Newton, Jr.; his brother William Henry Waters; and his wife Jacquelyn Voncile Newton. He is survived by: his sons, Marquis Antonio Jenkins, Quentin Johntavious Newton and Darell Chase (India); his siblings, Johnny Lee Ellison of Savannah, Wanzer Lee Newton (Cheryl) of Metter, Georgia, Nettie Ruth Newton of Statesboro and Ammie Lee Newton of Metter, Georgia; his aunts and uncles, Delores Morgan, Beatrice Davis, Daisy Pearl Hunter, Martha Jordan, Vinnie Fields, Christine Robinson, Ervin Robinson and Larry Robinson; and his cousin Robbie Lovett. He is also survived by great-aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
