With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lena Stoltzfus Carpenter of Metter, Georgia, who passed away on September 9, 2021 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Christian J. Kurtz and Elsie B. Kurtz (Stoltzfus); her husband Sidney M. Carpenter; her son Mark Carpenter; and her brothers, Elam Kurtz and Chester Kurtz.
She is survived by: her children, Harold (Sharoldine), Fred (Audrey), Daniel (Deborah Lynn), Andrew (Esther Mae), Barbara (James Daniels) of Metter, GA, Susan (Timothy Peifer) of Metter, GA, Lois (David Martin) of Metter, GA, Rhoda (Stanley Bauman), Guiscoyol and Guatemala; her daughter-in-law Karen Carpenter of Metter, GA; her siblings, John Kurtz of Snow Hill, MD, Paul Kurtz (Lydia), Ephrata, Calvin Kurtz (Esther Mae) of Elverson, PA and Caroline Plank of Bremen, OH; and her sister-in-law Orpah Kurtz of West Jefferson, NC.. She is also survived by 57 grandchildren, 159 great grandchildren. 2 great-great grandchildren.
