She was predeceased by : her parents, Brady Sherrod and Lannie Watkins Sherrod; her husband Bert Spence; and her siblings, Sally Oglesby, Edith Spence, Esteen Sherrod and Grady Sherrod.

She is survived by : her pet Skippy; her children, Doris Dailey of Millen, GA. and Ronnie Spence (Judy) of Midville, GA.; her granddaughters, April Lumley (Terry) and Melissa Brannen; and her great grandchildren, Ansley Lumley and Spencer Brannen (Ansley).
