He was predeceased by: his parents, Joel Ernest and Emeline James Childre; his children, Linda Childre Kuecker and Erny Childre; and his brother Rudolph Childre.
He is survived by: his children, Jimmy Childre, Jr. of Sandersville, Bob Childre of Tennille, Charlotte Childre of St Augustine, FL, J. J. Childre (Lori) of Gadsden, AL, Angel Childre and Jason Childre (Angie); and his siblings, Taylor Childre of Milledgeville and Betty Welsh of Moultrie.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Victory Baptist Church (640 Meriwether Rd NW, Milledgeville, GA 31061). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hillcrest Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family request contributions to the donor's favorite charity.
