With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Samuel W. Marshall Jr. (Milledgeville, Georgia), who passed away on October 29, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Allen Weldon Marshall; and his brother Donald Marshall. He is survived by: his wife Hattie Ruth Hyder; his daughter Anita Cooper (Carl); his daughter-in-law Angie Mixon Marshall; his grandchildren, Rachael Weller (Brady), Alyssa Cooper, Kayley Cooper and Jacob Marshall; his great grandchildren, Madilynn and Emma Weller; and his siblings, Deanna Brewer, David and Johnny Marshall. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moores Funeral Home & Crematory (301 S Wayne St, Milledgeville, GA 31061). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Moores Funeral Home (301 S Wayne St, Milledgeville, GA 31061).
