It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laura McElroy of Good Hope, Georgia, who passed away on June 1, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vera Futrelle and Marselion Salathiel McMichen; her husband James William "Jim" McElroy; and her siblings, Ricky Zimmer, Juanita Keenum and Eva Morse.
She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey William McElroy (Cindy Hawkins), Phillip James McElroy (Judy) and Sharon McElroy Carroll; her grandchildren, Laura Carroll, Tom Carroll, Jocelyn McElroy Wright (Sean) and Chase McElroy; and her great grandchildren, Ashley Taylor Carroll and Finley Annette Wright.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Prospect Church (6752 GA-212, Covington, GA 30016). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
