He was predeceased by: his son Edwin Starnes, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Edna Starnes; his sons, Jimmy Starnes (Lynn) of Concord, NC and Tim Walker (Carol) of Birmingham, AL; and his stepchildren, Eleanor Gilbert of Lake City and David Walker (Sherrie) of Gainesville, GA. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
