It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Art Henry Ellis Jr. of Moultrie, Georgia, born in Jacksonville, Florida, who passed away on January 30, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur Henry Ellis, Sr. and Vivian Virginia Savage Ellis. He is survived by : his wife Molly Morris Ellis; his daughters, Gina Fountain (Mitchell) of Moultrie and Samantha Crawford (Michael) of Moultrie; his grandchildren, Bailee Fountain, Mary Madison Greene, Maggie Cox, Ella Crawford, Cale Crawford and Maci Wilkes; and his brothers, Arthur Doug Ellis, James E. "Buddy" Ellis (Soraya) and George W. "Billy" Ellis.

For over 50 years, he was an active member of the Moultrie Masonic Lodge #381, exemplifying the values of brotherhood, charity, and truth.

D Rig wrote a sympathy message

“So sorry I could not attend the memorial service for Art, but the entire family is in my thoughts and prayers. There will be some difficult days ahead for Molly but hope the passage of time will help as life's events are fondly remembered. I think back on working with Art and remember him as one of the nicest people I ever met. He was always positive and would help anyone who needed it. It is sad to think of a world without him as he added so much while he was here. May God bless him.”
