It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Anita Thompson (Mount Vernon, Georgia), who passed away on April 29, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Cannie Fountain and Martha Palmer Fountain; her siblings, David Fountain, Helen Fountain McArthur and DeAlva Fountain; and her former life partner James Barlow.
She is survived by : her sons, Doctors Jim (Trish Barlow) and Ricky Barlow (Robin Barlow) of Hernando, Florida; her grandchildren, Jennifer Griffith (Steven) of Beverly Hills, Rachel Oliver (Andy), Lauren Barlow of Chamblee, Leah Barlow of Marietta, Lily Barlow of Columbus and Luke Barlow of Marietta; her great grandchildren, Holden Griffith, Lincoln Griffith, Ryan Griffith, Liam Oliver and Evan Oliver; and her sisters, June Fountain of Mount Vernon and Betty Jo Fountain of Mount Vernon. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Ailey Baptist Church, P.O. Box 148, Ailey, GA 30410.
