It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Garmon Jr. (Mount Vernon, Georgia), born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on September 22, 2019, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Gene Calvin Garmon, Sr. and Pat Brown Garmon. He is survived by : his wife Mary H. Armstrong of Mt. Vernon; his daughter Katye Ward (Jarrett) of Atlanta; his adoptive daughter Victoria Conner of Mt. Vernon; his sister Connie Howell of Rutledge; and his granddaughter Ava Ward.
