He was predeceased by : his parents, David Alexander Godwin and Jessie Mae Allen Stewart; his wife Cathy Chesser Godwin; and his siblings, Ronnie Godwin, Dale Godwin, Evelyn Harris, Betty Hughes, Wanda Anderson and Shirley Ann Medders.
He is survived by : his children, Brooke Godwin, Amy Middleton and Eric Hayes; and his siblings, Charles Godwin, Jerry Godwin, Jessie Medders of Alma, Kathy Burkett and Karen Story. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren.
