He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Hewett, Sr. and Opal Vandergrift Hewett; his wife Hilda Herrin Hewett; and his siblings, Ken Hewett and Nell Hewett.
He is survived by: his son Mike Hewett of Nahunta; and his sister Marilyn Langston. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
