Mary Effie Bridges Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Effie Bridges (Newnan, Georgia), born in Moreland, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 21, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Dan Bridges; her grandson Daniel Young Veale; and her siblings, Bud (Giles Thomas), Jacob (Ann), Joe Jr. (Carolyn), Lucille Gordon (Ralph) and Sara Ruth Coggin (Asa).
She is survived by: her children, Alan Bridges (Connie), Joey Bridges (Beth Rupnow) and Miriam Veale of Newnan; and her grandchildren, Corry Veale of Newnan, Noah Bridges (Gailey) of Carrollton, Candler and Conley. She is also survived by the second of 9 siblings, many extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McKoon Funeral Home (38 Jackson St, Newnan, GA 30263). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
