It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Ann Hankerson (Oglethorpe, Georgia), born in Montezuma, Georgia, who passed away on December 18, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parent Lessie Haugabook Solomon; her daughter Sharron Hankerson; her sister Dorothy Solomon; and her brother-in-law Thomas Hankerson of Belle Glade, Fla.. She is survived by : her husband James Frederick Hankerson, Sr.; her sons, Jeffery Haugabook, James Frederick, Jr. and Terrance Hankerson of Oglethorpe; her grandchildren, Brittany Haugabook, Raveen Haugabook and Terralyn Hankerson; her great grandchildren, Lovell Anthony Sylvester, Javon Bryson Bloodsaw and Cohen Hankerson; her sister-in-law Amelia Hankerson; her cousin Frances H. Hayes; and her close friends, Myrtis Mallard, Velma Jean Clark, Annie Neal Collier, Annie Maude Brooks and Nellie Collins. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including a special friend.
