He is survived by: his wife Ethel Mathis; his children, Joy Hudson (Richard) of Palmetto, Barry Mathis (Donna) of Tyrone and Mark Mathis (Deborah) of Sharpsburg; his brother Doug Mathis (Jenny) of Fayetteville; and his grandchildren, Tiffani Shell, Melani Huffmaster, Jennifer Stiltner, Christopher Mathis, Courtney Watson, Chelsie Tuck and Cody Mathis. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
