She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilfred Horton and May Horton. She is survived by: her daughter Claire Edmondson; and her grandsons, David Mayne and Alan Mayne. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Pines Episcopal Church (316 N Peachtree Pkwy, Peachtree City, GA 30269). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Arlington Memorial Park (136 Mount Vernon Hwy, Sandy Springs, GA 30328).

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans or St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
