She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Fanning and Ruby Oliver Fanning; her husband Tommy E. Hughes; her son Tommy L. "Pistol" Hughes; and her siblings, Mary Cowart, Linda Wilkes and Bobby Fanning.
She is survived by: her son James E.; her daughters-in-law, Ashley Hughes of Lyons and Holly Hughes of Statesboro; her brothers, Johnny (Judy Fanning) and Totsie Hughes (Lois Miller) of Pembroke; and her grandchildren, Dylan, Brittney Hughes of Statesboro, Ainsley Hughes of Rincon, Kaleb Hughes of Statesboro, Dalton Hughes of Lyons, Cameron Hughes of Lyons, Alexis "Lexi" Hughes of Baxley, Hudson Hughes of Lyons, Presley NeeSmith of Lyons and Dallon NeeSmith of Lyons. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
