With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Herbert Hezzie Calahan Sr. (Pembroke, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 2, 2025 at the age of 75. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Calahan and Frances Geneva Roberts Calahan; his brothers, Paul Calahan, Sr., Darnel Calahan, Russ Calahan and Charles Russell; and his grandson Grayson Covey.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Lanier Calahan; his children, Herbert Calahan, Jr. of Cambridge, MD, Rodney Calahan of Delaware, Jason Horton (Michelle Covington) of Tennessee, Barbie Jean Eberling (Tom) of Maryland, Heather Anderson (Bill) of Delaware and Ashlee Lewis (Flash) of Pembroke; his siblings, Mark Vincent of Pembroke, Theresa Herb of Pembroke, Janet Marvel (David) of Delaware, Sandra Usher of Brooklet, Dorothy McCullough (Jimmy) of Soperton and Tonya Gordon of Rincon; and also Bryon Lewis (Kelcie) of Guyton. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
