He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Jo Barron Strickland; his sister Kathy Strickland Lane; and his nephew Brian Bowers. He is survived by: his sons, Steve Strickland (Donna) of Bloomingdale and Tim Strickland (Julia) of Pembroke; his grandchildren, Mitchell, Holton and Emmery; his sister Gail Strickland Bowers; his nieces and nephews, Susan, Amy Bowers, Chris and Jon Kennedy; and his caregiver Teresa Chaney.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Flanders Powell Funeral Home (197 S College St, Pembroke, GA 31321). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at the same location.
