She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Hughes and Frances Hughes of Ellabell. She is survived by: her husband Robert Spears of Statesboro; her brothers, Jim Hughes of Gulf Port, MS and Larry Hughes (Ann) of Statesboro; and her pet Brandy. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Ash Branch Church Cemetery (664 Ash Branch Church Rd, Pembroke, GA 31308).
