She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph T. Brogan; and her sons, Douglas Morgan Holmes and Edward Alonza "Skip" Holmes. She is survived by: her daughters, Jane Holmes Bass (Leon) of Bristol and Margaret Holmes Bryant (William) of Dunwoody; her stepdaughters, Mary Brogan Ryan (Ted) of Atlanta, Peggy Brogan of Pine Lake, Katy Brogan (Rod) of Clear Lake and Chris Brogan of Atlanta; and her husband Joe. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Because Neil had a lifelong love of reading, the family asks that anyone wishing to make a donation in her name might donate to Book Aid International.
