It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude Wilson Mock Thompson of Portal, Georgia, who passed away on October 19, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bert Wilson and Annie Mae Wilson; her former husband Malcolm Lee Mock; her husband Allen Thompson; her children, Eddie Mock and Irmogene Mock; and her brothers, Larry Wilson and W. L. Wilson.
She is survived by: her uncle Shuggs; her daughters, Brenda Mock Calhoun of Portal, Betty Mock Waters of Metter and Mona Lisa Mock Finch; her son-in-law Wesley Finch of Statesboro; her sisters, Mamie Clifton of Millen and Judy; and her brother-in-law Roger Davis of Portal. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
