With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jesse Hoyt Daughtry of Portal, Georgia, who passed away on February 10, 2021 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Daughtry and Bernice Daughtry; and his sister Betty Daughtry. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Lanier Daughtry of Statesboro; his children, Joy Daughtry of Daisy, GA and Jay Daughtry of Portal; his granddaughters, Ansley Daughtry and Jessie Daughtry of Statesboro; his sister JoAnn; and his brother-in-law Lamar Vickery of Portal.
