It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel Christopher Shannon (Preston, Georgia), born in Americus, Georgia, who passed away on August 21, 2019, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Rodney and Kattie Shannon; his son Samuel Patrick Shannon; and his brother Cliff Shannon. He is survived by: his spouse Bebe Sanders Shannon of Preston; his sons, Chase Shannon of Preston, Chad, Kim Norton of Hartwell and Brandon Norton of Preston; his brother Glenn; his sister-in-law Debbie Shannon of Preston; his grandchildren, Bella, Tyler, Beau Norton, Jake and Jordan Sanders; and his sibling's children, Chelsea Phillips, Kix Dacus, Blakely Phillips, Becky Story and Katha Scott.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Stewart Webster Cancer Fund, 6381 Hamilton St., Preston, Georgia 31824.
