He was predeceased by : his parents, Sanford Jones and Ruby Moore Jones; and his siblings, Inez Cagle, Mattie Bell Richards, Billy Jones, Hazel Corbett, Frances Rodbro and Betty Jones.

He is survived by : his siblings, Sanford Levi Jones Jr. (Milbrey) of Quitman, GA and Karen Sceals (Grady) of Albany, GA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
