He was predeceased by: his parents, George Samuel Jenkins, Sr. and Maggie Hall Jenkins; his brothers, Johnny Jenkins, Douglas Jenkins, Jimmy Jenkins, Randall Jenkins and Bobby Jean Jenkins; his son Tony Cason; his siblings-in-law, Carl Hohnerlein, Jimmy Parsons and Linda Jenkins; his mother-in-law Mary Graves Thompson; his nephew Ronnie Lanier; and his niece Heather Hohnerlein Hoitt.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila Jenkins of Reidsville; his children, David Jenkins Jr. of Savannah, Georgia, Michael Jenkins of Savannah, John Bates Bates (Crystal) of Hoboken and Jesse Bates (Brooke) of Claxton; his siblings, Martha Hohnerlein of South Carolina, Craig Jenkins of Pembroke, Georgia, Dartha Houston (Jurgen) of Pembroke, George Jenkins (Nona) of Savannah and Jesse May Hammock of Biloxi, Mississippi.; and his grandchildren, David Jenkins III, Joshua Jenkins, Cheyenne Jenkins, Sebastian Jenkins, Jackson Crout, Hazelle Grace Jenkins, Hayes Bates, Christopher Bates, Mia Bates, Ezekial Bates, Samuel Bates, Titus Bates and Mercy Grace Bates. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Brannen Family Funeral Services (206 N Veterans Blvd, Glennville, GA 30427). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
