She was predeceased by : her parents, Mack Owen Rutledge and Freeman Rutledge; her husband Samuel Phillip Young (Sam); and her brothers, Jack Rutledge and C. L. Rutledge.

She is survived by : her daughter April Harris (Tony) of Dalton, GA; her sisters, Ida Ruth Anderson of Calhoun, GA and Sandy Rutledge Adams; her goddaughter Elizabeth Witt of Dalton, GA; her niece Brooke Knight (Chris); her nephews, Brent Rutledge, Randall Rutledge and Greg Lowman; and her cousin Betty Ann Griffith Jones.
