He was predeceased by: his daughter Sherry Ward Buttimer; his parents, Olin Ward and Gertrude Ward; and his brothers, Louis Ward and Wilson Ward.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his daughter Joanie Ward Steptoe (Ric); his son-in-law Tommy Buttimer; his grandsons, Tyler Steptoe, Michael Buttimer (Crystal) and Ray Buttimer (Melisa); his sister Fran Twomey (Jim); his great grandchildren, Thomas Buttimer, IV and Nathan Buttimer; and his pet Henry. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
