He was predeceased by: his mother Gladys Kirkland; and his grandparents, William and Dicie Matthews. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl; his children, William Ronald Matthews, Jr. (Jessica), Kelli Ross (John), Ryan Matthews (Melissa) and Crystal Matthews; his grandchildren, Brandon Ross, Emilee Ross, Corey Matthews, Erin Matthews, Kelcey Matthews and Raelyn Matthews; and his siblings, Ricky Henley, Randy Henley and Lynn Henley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
