He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Parham Whitley; his children, Lee Whitley (Anna), Joy Whitley Padgett (Jared) and Darlene Whitley; and his siblings, Wayne Whitley (Glenda), Jaki Petrea and Cheryl Pass (Tony). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
