It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Preston Blanton of Rincon, Georgia, who passed away on January 13, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Wooten Blanton and Katie Burney Blanton; his siblings, McDaniel Blanton, Barley Blanton, Herbert Blanton, Fenton Blanton, Jimmy Blanton and Addie Blanton Gore; his grandson Ethan Brooks; his son Hugh Gaddy, III; and his son-in-law Marion Mason.
He is survived by: his wife Doris J. Blanton; his sisters, Grace Dutton of Rocky Mount, NC, Lucille Pritchard of Hanahan, SC and Cecile Giltrap of Myrtle Beach, SC; his daughters, Katie West (Gary) of Altamonte Springs, FL, Linda Mason, Tina Brooks of Hanahan, SC and Cheryl Pratt (George) of Rincon; his grandchildren, Tamara West Dempster (Rob), Michael West, Scott Mason, Shannon Mason, Jarrett Mason, Megan Brooks Hinson (Kevin), Allie Brooks, Timothy Pratt and Michelle Pratt; and his great grandchildren, Preston, J. J. Mason, Tyler and Karter Hinson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
