He was predeceased by: his parents, Maynard Hughey and Anna Hughey; his son John Wesley Thomas Hughey (Vera) of Guyton; and his siblings, Leon Hughey and Peggy Hughey.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Hughey; his children, Sherry L. Pittman of New York, Michael D. Pittman (Granada) of Alabama, William Troy Deese, Sr. (Amanda) of Rincon, Alisha Knight (Derrick) of Guyton and Gary Daniel Hughey (Sylvia) of Rincon; his daughters-in-law, Linda Sue McCloud of Rincon and Dianna Hughey (Wesley) of Springfield; his sister Debbie Hughey of Hiram, Georgia; and his nephew Joey Messer of Lakeland, FL. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends.
