He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Joanna Visely Thompson; his daughter Cortney Len Thompson Miller; his granddaughter Brianna Elizabeth Miller of Springfield; his parents, John Thompson and Deborah Thompson; his sister Roxanne Thompson Miller; his nephews, Michael and Matthew Miller; his parents-in-law, John and Leslie Visely; his grandparents, Nelson and Martha Thompson; and his uncle Floyd. He was also cherished by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
