She is survived by: her children, Lisa Shurling (Durell), Diana Denise Pearce (Mike Sapp) and John Douglas Colquitt Sweat, Sr. (Tracy); and her brother Charles Thornton (Wendy). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
